Linda K. Norman, DO

Dr. Norman is a board-certified psychiatrist who completed a four-year residency at the renowned
Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in 1992. She remained on staff at the Menninger Clinic for
two years prior to her and her husband, Robert Ryan, LCSW, relocating to Dalton. In 1995, they
opened Dalton Psychiatric Center. In 2020, Dr. Norman officially retired in the
wake of the Covid pandemic, but has come out of retirement to offer her services on a part-
time bases at the Christian Counseling Center.

Dr Norman’s areas of expertise are depression, grief, and relationship issues. Her preferred
approach is to work collaboratively with the patient’s primary care physician who has a
broader understanding of the patient’s overall health. Thus the goal is to provide
integrative care. Simply said, the mind and the body are one, and must be treated as such.
